The core strength of PADs begins with a reinforced dual-laminated beam ladder frame construction. Laminated wood, up to 200% stronger than solid wood, forms the backbone. Two 6" x 10" laminated beams run the entire length, cross-reinforced with 2" x 10" joists attached with steel hangers and fortified with a glued-in and nailed 1-1/8" sheath of OSB Plywood. Spray foam enhances structural rigidity by an additional 300%, resulting in a remarkably resilient structure that flexes less than 1/8 inch over 20' when fully assembled

Walls boast either 2" x 6" steel or wood studs, pre-assembled on a level concrete floor. Once assembled, they are anchored to the deck using 6" anchor bolts. 2" x6" walls provide strength and space for ample insulation. The ceiling, supported by 10" wood studs or 8" steel rafters, unifies with the walls for structural integrity

Utilizing a lower roof deck covered in self-adhered waterproof material and spaced with 1" treated lumber, a second layer with waterproof coating forms an impenetrable barrier. Dual roofs and zero penetrations (except for skylights) ensure long-lasting reliability and create a thermal-break that prevents direct heat and cold from entering the building. In addition this design prevents condensation from forming inside the building where the warm can create condensation and moisture when met with cold air and surfaces

With an R-35 rating, PAD walls far exceed the insulation performance of conventional 2"x4" walls with an R-15 rating or 2"x6" walls with R-21 batt insulation

Should a permit be necessary, rest assured that our buildings are meticulously constructed to meet or exceed all building codes in the United States. Our team will guide you through the permit application process, providing the necessary documentation and support to secure approval efficiently.

Installing a PAD is a straightforward process, designed for ease and convenience. Before installation begins, we'll assess whether your building can be installed using a truck or crane, and determine if a permit is required.
If a permit is necessary, we'll handle the application process on your behalf, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Once approved, we'll proceed to the next step: locating and certifying a trusted local contractor for your installation.
Our team will provide the chosen contractor with comprehensive installation details, and they'll conduct a site visit to estimate and quote your project accurately. To ensure transparency and quality, we typically obtain three estimates and evaluate both pricing and the contractor's track record.
For homeowners who prefer to oversee the project as a general contractor, we fully support this option as long as all building and permitting criteria are met.
